IBM employees and members of the Alliance@IBM to challenge Executive compensation

and other issues at annual IBM stockholder meeting.

 

IBM employees and members of the Alliance@IBM Stockholder Action Committee will call on shareholders to support several critical resolutions at the IBM annual meeting set for Tuesday April 25 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

 

Earl Mongeon, Alliance Vice President stated “ IBM employees are angry that their pension gets cut while the CEO of IBM Sam Palmisano gets a 29% pay raise and is guaranteed a pension of $75,000 a week. We will be at the stockholder meeting representing the real IBM—the employees.”

 

 

Members of the Alliance will support and be prepared to talk to the following resolutions:

 

# 4. Proposal on Pension and Retirement Medical, offered by James Leas.

 

# 5. Proposal on Executive Compensation, offered by Donald S. Parry:

 

# 6. Proposal on Disclosure of Executive Compensation, offered by Janet Krueger.

 

# 7. Proposal on Offshoring, offered by Michael L. Saville:

# 8. Proposal on China Business Principles, offered by John C. Harrington

 

# 9. Proposal on Political Contributions, offered by the Teamsters’ General Fund

 

# 10. Proposal on Majority Voting for Directors, offered by the Untied Brotherhood of Carpenters Pension Fund

 

# 11. Proposal on Simple Majority Vote, offered by Emil Rossi and Nick Rossi, trustees of the Jeanne Rossi Family Trust
