E.I.T. Goes Political I have commented before about how upper management was treating employees after CEO Jay McNamara's infamous tour around the site; and the anger of employees when they found out they wouldn't be allowed to use earned vacation till the end of the year. Now that it's the beginning of the new year, E.I.T. management has backed way off and thinks that by throwing pizza parties for the employees that it's going to make up for everything that happened the past couple of months. If you think it about what has E.I.T. done for the employees since their "Birthday" Party in 2002? Absolutely nothing. They have the wool pulled over their eyes if they think that this is going to make up for the past couple of months. Jay McNamara sent out a note to employees and wished them a safe and happy holiday and a "prosperous" new year. A lot of people took that quote as a slap in the face. I just hope that we can reach out to people and get them to understand that this type of treatment must stop. A lot of people are starting to wake up and realize what E.I.T is all about and we're getting new signups regularly. E.I.T. wants employees to think that the pizza parties are being thrown because the employees did good work. E.I.T. workers please don't buy into this. Upper management is throwing pizza parties because they realize that people are showing interest the union and that it may change someone's mind about doing so. If management cared, then they would have allowed us to use our earned vacation and wouldn't have gone around and harassed the employees like they did.
